Training in Mental Illness for Primary Health Care Physicians

The number of qualified psychiatrists in India is insufficient to meet the needs of the population . The training of GP'S in psychiatry can contribute immensely toward providing a much needed service for psychiatric disease.

Goal of the Conference:
To educate General Practitioner Doctors in becoming more proficient in recognizing and treating psychiatric illness. The content of the presentations will closely follow the WHO MHGAP guidelines.
